As we've mentioned, Lollapalooza 2015 happens in Chicago's Grant Park this weekend with headliners Metallica, Paul McCartney Sam Smith, The Weeknd, and Florence + the Machine. (BrooklynVegan will be there too, in the Toyota Tent.) If you can't make it, Lollapalooza will be broadcasting live each day starting at 2 PM Central (3 PM Eastern) across three different channels.

Bonnaroo 2015 is this week with four days of music and comedy from Thursday (6/11) through Sunday (6/14) in Manchester, TN. For those who can't make it, you'll be able to watch many of Bonnaroo's performers right here on BrooklynVegan.com via three different video channels. Live streaming begins Thursday at 7 PM Central (6 PM Eastern) and sets being broadcast over the four days include Courtney Barnett, Against Me!, Belle & Sebastian, My Morning Jacket, Billy Joel, D'Angelo & the Vanguard, Jamie xx, The War on Drugs and many more. The Austin City Limits festival returns to Zilker Park from October 2-4 and October 9-11, and though the lineup wasn't supposed to be announced until this Tuesday, Austin 360 points out that the festival's website leaked it early. The posting was quickly taken down, but not before 365 Things Austin could screenshot it. It was accurate and the ACL 2015 includes Foo Fighters, Drake, The Strokes, The Weeknd, Disclosure, Deadmau5, Bassnectar, Alt-J, Alabama Shakes, Of Monsters and Men, Tame Impala, Sturgill Simpson, The Decemberists, Brand New, TV on the Radio, A$AP Rocky, Billy Idol, Chance the Rapper, Father John Misty, Brandon Flowers, Run the Jewels, Sylvan Esso, Kurt Vile, Waxahatchee, Florence + the Machine, Modest Mouse and more.

Sleater-Kinney, who first said they weren't playing festivals but then were announced for Primavera Sound, have now also been added to home stage festival Sasquatch!, taking place Memorial Day Weekend (5/22-25) at The Gorge. Other new additions include Angel Olsen, Hanni El Khatib (who plays NYC tonight), THEESatisfaction, Helms Alee, AlunaGeorge, Kaytranada, Goldlink and a few others.
Those additions join previously announced names such as Kendrick Lamar, Robert Plant, Modest Mouse, Lana Del Rey, Ryan Adams, The Decemberists, Tame Impala, St. Vincent and many more. Festival tickets are still available.

The spring edition of the Boston Calling Music Festival is a month away (May 23-25), and they've already announced the fall edition which goes down in Boston's City Hall Plaza from September 5-7. The September lineup, which is listed in full below, includes The National, The Replacements, Nas x The Roots, Neutral Milk Hotel, Spoon, Volcano Choir, The War on Drugs, The Hold Steady, White Denim, Sky Ferreira, Future Islands, San Fermin, S. Carey, Lorde, Childish Gambino and more. 3-day passes go on sale Monday (4/28) at 10 AM.

Florida gets a new festival this year with the inaugural Big Guava Music Festival which goes down from May 2-4 across four stages in Tampa's Florida State Fairgrounds and Mid-Florida Credit Union Amphitheater. They're promising thrill rides and craft beers in addition to the music lineup which is another one for Outkast, plus Vampire Weekend, Haim, Girl Talk, Tegan and Sara, Violent Femmes, Earl Sweatshirt, Chance the Rapper, Vic Mensa, Jacuzzi Boys and more.

As discussed, Dover, Delaware's annual Firefly Music Festival is returning this year and has expanded to a four-day festival happening from June 19-22. Since we last spoke, the lineup has been announced and it includes Outkast, Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys, Weezer, Band of Horses, Chance the Rapper, Courtney Barnett, Iron & Wine, Phantogram, Phosphorescent, Sky Ferreira, Sleigh Bells, Tegan and Sara, tUnE-yArDs, Washed Out, not to mention everyone's favorite festival act Jack Jackson as one of the headliners. Tickets go on sale Monday (1/20) at noon, and VIP passes are already on sale.

Lollapalooza and Osheaga are behind us, but the summer festivals keep rolling on with San Francisco's Outside Lands this weekend (8/9-8/11). The festival is sold out, but if you've already got tickets and are going, you might like to know how to get there, and once you're there, the festival map will help you find your way around inside.
Meanwhile, if you're not going to Outside Lands, but still want to watch the fun go down, you can stream it live on Purevolume. After it was already confirmed that Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, The Postal Service, The National, The Killers, and Mumford and Sons were playing Lollapalooza 2013, a pretty promising leak came which appeared to potentially reveal the rest of the lineup, and it turns out that leak was real.
In addition to the previously mentioned artists, Lollapalooza will include Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, Kendrick Lamar, Grizzly Bear, The Cure, New Order, Baroness, Beach House, Cat Power, Death Grips, Jessie Ware, Father John Misty, DIIV, Wavves, Alt-J, Hot Chip, Disclosure, Baauer, Palma Violets, Angel Haze, Band of Horses, Crystal Castles and many others.
Lollapalooza goes down in Chicago from August 2 - 4 in Grant Park. Single day passes go on sale Wednesday (4/3) at 10 AM.

Phoenix @ Crystal Ballroom -- March 30, 2013
As mentioned, Phoenix, who are currently touring the west side of the United States, ard bringing their tour to NYC for a show at The Apollo on May 13. Tickets for that intimate show, which were sold through a lottery system, are now sold out, but the band whose last NYC show was at Madison Square Garden will return for a show closer to that size on October 2 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Support at that show comes from The Vaccines and tickets for that show go on sale Friday (4/5) at 10 AM.
You can also catch Phoenix much sooner in New Jersey the day before the Apollo show for WRFF Radio 104.5's 6th Birthday Show at Susquehanna Bank Center (5/12) with Passion Pit, Silversun PIckups, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Airborne Toxic Event, Paramore, and twenty one pilots. Tickets for that show are still on sale.
And though we have to wait until May to see them live in NYC, they'll be here much sooner as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live this Saturday (4/6). That happens on their way over to Indio, CA for Coachella, which is less than two weeks away.

The Man and more, Weird Al just began announcing the 2013 Bonnaroo line-up on the Bonnaroo YouTube page which happens June 13 - 16 in Manchester, TN. Weird Al just announced Pretty Lights, Wilco, A$AP Rocky, and The xx, and over the next hour, more artists will be announced. We'll update this post as more announcements come.

Phoenix at MSG in 2010 (more by Andrew St. Clair)
First, Phoenix announced that their long awaited followup to 2009's Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix would be out this April, then they revealed that it's called Bankrupt! and made their first North American show announcement of 2013: New Orleans Jazz Festival. They've since been revealed as a Coachella headliner and now they've got even more North American dates scheduled, including one that's not too far from NYC: Columbia, MD's Sweetlife Festival, which goes down at Merriweather Post Pavillion on May 11 (about a 3 and a half hour drive from NYC). Their schedule currently has a week or so free on either side of of the Sweetlife fest...hmm.
And the rest of Sweetlife lineup ain't too shabby either. Joining Phoenix will be Passion Pit, Kendrick Lamar, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Solange, Youth Lagoon, Holy Ghost!, Gary Clark Jr, MS MR, and more. Tickets for the festival go on sale Friday (2/8) at 10 AM with a presale beginning on Wednesday (2/6).

UK singer Jessie Ware, who sang on on SBTRKT's 2011 album but fully came into her own this year with her great album, Devotion, will be touring the US in 2013. That tour includes the previously discussed NYC show on January 17 at Bowery Ballroom with Rochelle Jordan, which is sold out, but Jessie was just announced as one of the four artists playing MTV's '2013 Artists to Watch' show in NYC on January 16 at Highline Ballroom. The rest of the bill includes Zedd, Twenty One Pilots, and Robert Delong. Tickets for that show are on sale now.
