Negative Approach @ Grand Victory, 4/14/2013

Hardcore legends Negative Approach played the tiny Williamsburg venue Grand Victory last night (4/15), snagging support from Violent Bullshit, Two Man Advantage and Crushed. The show was part of a weekend of dates for the band that also included a stop at festival Damaged City in DC where the band teamed with bands like Dropdead (who also played NYC last night).

Zounds at Punk Island 2011 (more by Sarah Coulter)

ABC No Rio's HC/Punk Collective has brought back the 2012 edition of Punk Island, a day-long punk festival happening on Governors Island on June 24th (three days after Make Music New York this year). As always, Punk Island is entirely free but they rely on donations and volunteers to make it happen. Make your contribution to the cause (the fest costs $15k to produce) by buying merch or contributing via WePay.

The Continental, which no longer hosts shows, but is still a bar located on 25 3rd Ave in Manhattan, is hosting their Annual Reunion this Sunday (1/15). The lineup includes The Waldos (with Walter lure), Lenny Kaye (of Patti Smith Group), CJ Ramone, Murphy's Law (who are headlining the afternoon matinee portion), Electric Frankenstein, The Independents, Heap, and more.
