You may remember that when Firefly Music Fest announced its 2015 lineup, the first headliner was blurred out on the poster. Well, as rumored, it's Paul McCartney, the fest revealed today. Macca will join Morrissey, Modest Mouse, Spoon, Run The Jewels, How To Dress Well, Snoop Dogg, Tycho, Sturgill Simpson, Sylvan Esso, Zola Jesus, Rustie, Le1f and many more at the fest which happens June 18-21 at the Woodlands in Dover, DE. Updated lineup below.
General admission passes to Firefly go on sale Monday (3/2) at noon, EST.
McCartney was just in NYC for a surprise Valentine's Day show and an appearance on the SNL 40th Anniversary special. He since spent some time skiing in Vermont, much to the delight of the J.J. Hapgood General Store & Eatery in Peru.
Delaware's annual Firefly Music Festival comes back June 18-21 and the lineup's now been released. Kings of Leon, The Killers and
a TBA third act rumored to be Paul McCartney (update: it's Paul) sit atop the list, with Morrissey, Modest Mouse, Spoon, Run The Jewels, How To Dress Well, Snoop Dogg, Tycho, Sturgill Simpson, Sylvan Esso, Zola Jesus, Rustie, Le1f and many more joining them on the list of performers. Pre-sale passes are sold out, but more general admission and VIP passes will be available soon at the festival's website.
Firefly is Morrissey's first US date since canceling his dates last summer, and no other US dates are announced yet.

The Downtown Music Festival is back, and will stage events in five cities this year. The dates and locations are:
Downtown Cleveland - September 19 & 20Lineups are mostly still TBA, but NYC, as you can see in the flyer above, will feature rising 90s throwback pop star Kiesza along with Animal Collective sideproject Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks, Bradford Cox of Deerhunter's Atlas Sound, Autre Ne Veut, Tobacco, Jungle, Vacationer, IAMSU!, Zebra Katz, Mas Ysa, Tink, Saint Pepsi, Computer Magic, and more TBA.
Downtown Minneapolis - September 26 & 27

Downtown Houston - November 14 & 15
"This year's event, the festival's third iteration in New York City, takes place at all three rooms of Webster Hall with a special October 2 kickoff show headlined by Jungle at Irving Plaza." The Jungle show they're speaking of is actually the same one that was announced in June, and is part of a tour that also hits Warsaw in Brooklyn.

As previously mentioned, Jay Z is throwing his Budweiser Made In America Festival in Philly and LA this year, simultaneously on August 30-31. The lineup for Philly has just been announced and includes Kanye West and Kings of Leon as headliners, plus The National, Pharrell, J. Cole, Girl Talk, Spoon, Chromeo, Grimes, De La Soul, Baauer, Danny Brown, YG, Holy Ghost and more. Full lineup below.

Indie-pop band Caveman, who just did a run of shows at CMJ, are at at the Iceland Airwaves Festival this week and will then tour Europe. After that, the band has cooked up a little holiday fun, throwing what they're calling their first "Cavemas Celebration" at Bowery Ballroom on December 5 with Vacationer playing as well. Tickets to that show go on sale Wednesday (10/30) at noon.

Squarepusher is coming to the NYC-area for Camp Bisco, which goes down this year from July 11 to 13 at the Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, NY with Passion Pit, Animal Collective, Toro y Moi, El-P & Killer Mike, Baauer, Ryan Hemsworth, Dan Deacon, Danny Brown, and more. Right before that though, Squarepusher will play his own show in NYC at Le Poisson Rouge on July 9. It's a much more intimate show than his 2012 show at Terminal 5, and tickets for it go on sale Friday (5/3) at 10 AM with a LPR member presale starting Thursday (5/2) at 10 AM.

Camp Bisco is known for a long history of booking jam bands and dance music, but has branched out in recent years. This year's lineup has an especially interesting slew of non-jam. The festival goes down from July 11 to 13 at the Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, NY and features Passion Pit, Animal Collective, Toro y Moi, El-P, Killer Mike, Baauer, Dan Deacon, Com Truise, Ryan Hemsworth, Flosstradamus, Bear Mountain, Free Energy, RL Grime, VHS or Beta, and others, including of course The Disco Biscuits, who run the festival.

Cincinnati, OH festival Bunbury Music Festival is returning for its second year from July 12 - 14, 2013. The lineup was just announced and it includes MGMT (who were also just announced for Firefly Music Festival), The National (who were also just announced for Bonnaroo and have a huge Brooklyn show coming up), Belle and Sebastian and Yo La Tengo (who just announced a tour together, which includes a Prospect Park show), Camera Obscura, Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears, Savoir Adore, Bear Hands, Oberhofer, We Are Scientists, Chairlift, Cake, Tegan & Sara, Tokyo Police Club, Devotchka, Those Darlins, Buffalo Killers, Sky Ferreira, and more.

Niki and the Dove at Bowery Ballroom - 1/12/13
Swedish pop duo Niki & the Dove swung through North America quite a few times in 2012, and they're here again on their 2013 headlining tour which just hit NYC on Saturday (1/12) for a sold-out show at Bowery Ballroom with support from Vacationer. Pictures of both bands are in this post.
Just like in 2010 and 2011, Internet Week NY HQ will be home to stages, a classroom, lounges curated by Design Within Reach, installations from Ivan Toth Depeña in collaboration with Jared Schiffman's "Spatial Media" class at NYU's ITP, and more. With 20,000 more square feet of Digital Playground as well as Conference Theater--Internet Week HQ at 82 Mercer is poised to be the best yet.Internet Week NY 2012 starts today (5/14) and, much like in the years prior, will feature live music performances in addition to the web-focused events.
Open from May 14-17, attendees can expect to be a part of the ever-changing digital landscape in New York--hearing from industry luminaries and innovators across two stages and a classroom on the second floor of 82 Mercer. On the ground floor, Internet Week NY will host large-scale ticketed conferences with partners like App Nation.
A full schedule of all Internet Week goings on is available at their site but the musical portion of the conference kicks off tonight with an invite-only party at IWNY HQ (82 Mercer, 8-11pm) featuring Wild Belle and MNDR before moving to an after-party at Tribeca Grand later on for a performance from Rye Rye with DJ sets from Blaqstarr, Blu Jemz, Night People, and Kaviar Disco Club. Saturday (5/19) will feature a performances from Vacationer, Magic Wands and Body Language (who will also DJ) at Santos Party House.

DOM heads out on tour with Architecture in Helsinki in November, hitting Irving Plaza with LO-Fi-FNK along the way. You don't need to wait that long to see DOM again though. Saturday night (9/24) he shares a bill with Adventure, Vacationer, and True Womanhood at Glasslands in Brooklyn. All tour dates below...
