Infest @ Churchills, 3/09/2013
Reunited California hardcore heroes Infest played their first show outside of their home state of California on Saturday (3/9) at Churchills in Miami. The show, packed to the gills, also featured full sets from Insult, Assholeparade, Magrudergrind, Strong Intention, Shitstorm (mems of Torche), on-again-off-again grinders Maruta, Vaccine and more. The mega-gig was a precursor to the band's forthcoming dates at Chaos in Tejas and Maryland Deathfest, and followed a recent set of California dates that included a stop in Los Angeles.
Pictures and video from all bands are below.

Jonathan of Torche at Metro in Chicago, Oct 2012 (more by Jimmy Farabi)
BrooklynVegan and Invisible Oranges are proud to announce the return of Torche to NYC at Saint Vitus on March 2, a one-off appearance for the sunny sludge metal Floridians. Support is still TBA, but tickets are on sale.
In related news, 50% of Torche (namely Jonathan Nuñez and Rick Smith) also serve as part of the grind crew Shitstorm. THAT band will be involved in a whopper of a show in Miami.... the FIRST show in ages from the legendary Infest! That band, who are confirmed to reunite for Maryland Deathfest and Chaos in Tejas in May, will join Strong Intention, Magrudergrind, Insult, Shitstorm, Asshole Parade and Vaccine for the March 9 appearance at Churchill's in Miami. More details, including tickets can be found here.

Rival Schools are touring in March.

Meanwhile, head over to ABC No Rio and catch a HC and Punk matinee.
Speaking of Asbury Park, another multi-day festival will be happening in that town this fall. Full linuep of "I'll Be Your Mirror" still TBA, but tickets go on sale Friday for the events that will feature at a minimum Portishead and Jeff Mangum.

The crowd goes wild for Mob 47 @ Europa
Mob 47 and Parasytic played Europa on Wednesday (11/10) as part of a string of dates for the pair and part of a larger East Coast tour for Mob 47. The nutty Crazy Spirit and Nomad both also played the Brooklyn show. Pictures are in this post.
If you missed the show, unfortunately your window to catch Parasytic, Crazy Spirit, and Nomad has closed. But luckily, as mentioned yesterday, Mob 47 will play 538 Johnson TONIGHT (11/13) as part of a bill that will include all of the bands at ABC No Rio today at 3PM (Punch, Loma Prieta, Vaccine, & Death First) in addition to Passive Aggressor.

The unfuckwitable Failures will team up with Vaccine to play Brooklyn at Acheron on July 11th, alongside Raw Nerves (from Portland - thats PLURAL not singular), Surroundings, and the final show from Rats In The Walls. The show takes place the day after the pair rips Dudefest a new onewith Arab On Radar, Voetsek, Trap Them, and many others.
Failures' S/T LP dropped last year on vocalist Mark McCoy's own Youth Attack imprint and currently have LP #2 in the works. The band features members of Das Oath, Orchid, Ampere, Cut the Shit, Charles Bronson, and many other outfits including McCoy's recent undertaking as guitarist, Veins.
Veins recently dropped their first release, the sold-out cassette for Youth Attack Records. Much like Failures, the band is a supergroup of sorts featuring McCoy, Ian Jacysyzyn (Castevet) , Michael Berdan (ex-Drunkdriver), Jeroen Vrijhoef (Das Oath), and W. Boone on bass. The band currently has no dates scheduled, but Castevet does; they will play NYC on August 1st at The Studio at Webster alongside Altar of Plagues, Velnias, and Man's Gin. Tickets are on sale. Castevet's Mounds of Ash is out NOW via Profound Lore.
