Pianos Become the Teeth went on a short headlining tour last year in support of their great 2014 album Keep You, and they've now announced a much longer one. Like last time, this one will include support from Gates, as well as hardcore rippers Loma Prieta.
Pianos also play two nearby festivals: Long Island's Spring Mixtape Fest on 3/28 with Title Fight, Defeater and more (tickets); and Asbury Park's Skate & Surf on 5/16 & 17 with Cloud Nothings, American Nightmare, Beach Slang and many more (tickets).
In addition to those, they also play SXSW and two other fests. Before Skate & Surf they play Cleveland's Spring Fling Festival (5/15) with The Movielife, mewithoutYou, Defeater, Iron Chic, Loma Prieta and more. Tickets are on sale. Full lineup below.
And a few days after Skate & Surf they play Michigan's Bled Fest (5/23) with Touche Amore, Modern Life Is War, The Early November, Modern Baseball, Small Brown Bike, Restorations and more. Tickets are on sale. Full lineup below.

The seventh annual M for Montreal festival happens next week (November 14 - 17) in its namesake Canadian city. Previous years, M4M has featured mainly Montreal (and other parts of Canada) artists, being showcased to a group of "international delgates" (talent buyers, journalists, music supervisors, tour agenents and other industry types) in a tightly controlled set of shows, this year's fest expands its scope with nearly 100 performer at 16 venues, giving it more of an actual festival feel than an industry conference that has music showcases the public could by tickets to.
The line-up is much more global this year as well, with musicians from France, Iceland and, for the first time, the United States playing alongside bands from all over Canada. Artists playing the 2012 edition include Death Grips, Of Monsters and Men, Mac DeMarco, Suuns, Mykki Blanco, Sun Airway, A Place To Bury Strangers, Cadence Weapon, Memoryhouse, Yamantaka // Sonic Titan, Bleeding Rainbow and Blue Hawaii. Full list of performers is below and daily schedule is here and advance tickets to shows and panel discussions are available.
If you want a taste of Montreal this week in NYC, beyond the snow we're currently experiencing, Montreal rapper Cadence Weapon plays Glasslands on Friday (11/9) with Fat Tony. Tickets are still available. Cadence Weapon tour dates are listed below.
The Fest is back for round 11 (!) adding bands from across the spectrum of punk rock for the multi-day Gainesville, Florida extravaganza. The Fest announced its initial lineup earlier this month but has doubled that number, bringing the total tally to a whopping 217, and there are more to go! The lineup includes Lagwagon, Naked Raygun, Baroness, Red Fang, Off with Their Heads, Torche, Valient Thorr, 7 Seconds, F.Y.P., Braid, Titus Andronicus, Toys That Kill, Underground Railroad to Candyland, Frank Turner and many more (see below). Tickets are now on sale (and sold out quick last year).
Full lineup is below, expect to see some surprises at The Fest as well; Sleepytime Trio reunited there last year.
