Surfer Blood are playing Music Hall of Williamsburg on October 5 and Bowery Ballroom on October 6. Tickets to those shows go on sale today at noon. Gauntlet Hair are the openers for most of that tour, but aren't announced for the NYC shows (at least not at the moment). They play their own NYC shows sooner though (one with Jackson Scott).
Tickets for the Simple Minds show at Count Basie Theatre in NJ go on sale today at noon. Tickets for their Roseland Ballroom show don't go on sale until July 26, but are still on fan presale (password: "newgolddream").
The Eagles already announced two Madison Square Garden shows, and now they've added a third date happening on on November 11. Tickets to that show go on presale today at 10 AM (password: "EAGLES"), with a general on-sale starting Saturday (7/20) at 10 AM.
Long-running country punks Supersuckers, who've been at it for over two decades now (and put out a bunch of records on Sub Pop in the '90s) are playing a NYC show on September 7 at The Bell House. Tickets for that show are on sale now.
Prog rock legends Yes have been on a tour this year which hit NYC back in April and comes to Port Chester for a Capitol Theatre show on 7/28, and that tour will return to the area on August 3 at Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ for what they're calling Yestival. It's a mini festival that also features Renaissance, The Musical Box (performing Foxtrot), Carl Palmer Band, and an appearance from Roger Dean. Yes will be performing The Yes Album and Close to the Edge at the show. Tickets for Yestival are on sale now.
Pretty & Nice, MiniBoone, and Miracles of Modern Science are playing Mercury Lounge on September 6. Tickets for that show go on AmEx presale today at noon. General on-sale starts Friday (7/19) at noon.

Baroness finally returned to the road this year, and as discussed, this summer's tour includes not one, but two NYC shows. The first of those is a free House of Vans show on July 31, which is being headlined by Melvins, and also features openers Honky. RSVP is required, and opens today (7/15) at 9 AM. Like all House of Vans shows, entry is still first come, first served. Show flyer below.
Baroness' other NYC show this summer is a not-free one at Irving Plaza on August 14 with Royal Thunder, which tickets are still available for.

Azealia Banks is the previously unannounced headliner playing the free Red Bull Sound Select show at The Starlight Ballroom in Philadelphia on July 26 with Mike Taylor and Khari Mateen. Creedence Clearwater Revival's John Fogerty's Beacon Theater show (11/12) is almost sold out, but he's added another show happening at the same venue a day later (11/13). Tickets for that show go on Fan Club/VIP presale today at 10 Am. Local/Ticketmaster/Social presales start Thursday (7/11) at 10 AM, and general on-sale starts Saturday (7/13) at 10 AM.

Another Brooklyn band, Escort headlines the similarly sized Bowery Ballroom on August 17. Tickets for that show go on sale Wednesday (7/3) at noon.
Silversun Pickups play a Long Island show on August 7 at The Paramount two days after their other NYC-area show at The Capitol Theatre. Tickets for the Paramount and the Capitol Theatre are available.
People Get Ready are playing Knitting Factory on August 9. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

Snarky rockers Electric Six are set to release their 10th album, Mustang, this fall. They're touring as well, playing The Bell House on September 25 and Bowery Ballroom on September 29 both with My Jerusalem opening. Tickets to Bell House and tickets to Bowery go on sale today at noon.

Happy opening day to the House of Vans (25 Franklin St in Brooklyn) free summer concert series! The first show is tonight (6/27) with Fucked Up, Title Fight, and Hop Along (which RSVPed out way long ago), and there's some other happenings in the HoV world too.
RSVP for the Toro y Moi, Shlohmo, and Jonwayne show happening on July 11 opens today (6/27) at noon. RSVP is limited to two tickets per person, and as with all House of Vans shows, entry is still capacity-based, so get there early.
It's also just been announced that LA dance duo Classixx (whose new album, Hanging Gardens came out earlier this year, and who already played NYC a couple times) have been added to the July 18 show with !!! and Jacques Renault. RSVP for that show opens Monday (7/1) at 9 AM.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse are going on another tour this year which hits Port Chester's Capitol Theatre on September 2 with Patti Smith and her Band. Tickets for that show are on presale now. General on-sale begins Friday (6/28) at noon.
Other shows coming up at Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY include Willie Nelson & Family on September 18 & 19 (tickets), Bonnie Raitt on November 19 (tickets), and Foreigner on November 30 (tickets).

British folk punk Frank Turner already came to NYC for an intimate show at Bowery Ballroom in March and has two more that size coming up in July at Music Hall of Williamsburg with Off With Their Heads. Both of those shows are sold out, but if you've missed out on getting tickets to any of Frank's smaller shows, it should be much easier to grab some for his just-announced show at Terminal 5 on November 27. Tickets for that show go on AmEx presale today at noon. General on-sale starts Friday (6/28) at noon.
Talib Kweli, who surprised us when he joined Macklemore on stage at SXSW, and Big K.R.I.T. (who also plays the recently-expanded Rock the Bells) are opening for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis on a tour this fall that hits NYC on November 13 and 14 at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden. Tickets for those shows go on Citi Cardmember presale today at 10 AM. Live Nation/LN Mobile App presales start Thursday (6/27) at 10 AM, and general on-sale starts Friday (6/28) at 10 AM.
2-Tone ska legends The Selecter play Gramercy Theatre on September 20. Tickets for that show are currently on Music Geeks presale (password is "musicgeeks") and they go on sale to the general public Friday (6/28) at 10 AM.
Slaughterhouse are playing Highline Ballroom on July 16. Tickets to that show are on sale now.
Phony PPL, who were originally supposed to play Brooklyn Bowl on July 3 and 31, have cancelled both shows and are now instead playing Brooklyn Bowl on August 12. Tickets to the 8/12 show are on sale now. Refunds for the July shows are available at the point of purchase.
Registration is still open for a chance to get an email invite for the Mumford and Sons show at Queen's Forest Hills Tennis Stadium, which is now hosting concerts again. Support comes from The Vaccines and Bear's Den.

Ulrich Schnauss added a show happening at Cameo Art Gallery on August 20, which is not long after his previously discussed Bowery Ballroom (8/8) show. Tickets for the Cameo show go on sale today at 10 AM. Tickets for the Bowery Ballroom show are still available.

Rapper J Cole released his new album, Born Sinner, this week, and on Wednesday (6/19), he brought his tour in support of it to NYC for a show at Irving Plaza. During Cole's set, Drake came out to perform his verse on "In The Morning," after which Cole said to Drake, "You got classic records... could you please do some shit I guarantee they all will know?" Drake then stuck around to perform his song "Say What's Real" and his huge recent single, "Started From the Bottom." Check out a video of Drake's whole appearance at J Cole's show below.
Meanwhile, as mentioned, Drake is kicking off a tour of his own this year with support from Miguel and Future. That tour comes to the NYC-area on October 26 at XL Center in Hartford, October 27 at Prudential Center in Newark, and October 28 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. TIckets for those shows go on sale today (6/21) at 10 AM.
LA soulful singer-songwriter ZZ Ward who has collaborated with Kendrick Lamar, Grace Potter and Fitz & the Tantrums, plays Warsaw in Brooklyn on Friday night (6/21) and tickets are still available.
The June NYC show in the Red Bull Sound Select series happens on Tuesday (6/25) at Drom with Bridget Kelly, Wavy Spice, and Chippy Nonstop. Like the other monthly RBSS shows, admission is $3 at the door.
