As mentioned a couple times, Sharon Van Etten will be opening for Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds on their upcoming North American tour, which includes three nights at Beacon Theatre (March 28 - 30). Tickets to the newly-added third show on March 30 go on sale at noon today.
On a recent visit to Australia, Sharon covered Nick's "People Ain't No Good" (from 1997′s The Boatman's Call) on Triple-J radio and you can watch her performance of that below.
Best Coast is in fact opening for Green Day on their rescheduled tour dates, including the NYC show on April 7 at Barclays Center. Tickets for that show are on sale now and all tickets purchased for the original January 16 date will be honored.
Living Colour are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album, Vivid, by playing it in its entirety at Irving Plaza on April 6. Tickets for that show go on sale today at 10 AM.

Sufjan Stevens at Metro in Chicago - 12/15/12
As mentioned, Sufjan Stevens is on his The Surfjohn Stevens Christmas Sing-A-Long Seasonal Affective Disorder Yuletide Disaster Pageant On Ice tour with Sheila Saputo which hits NYC on Friday (12/21) and Saturday (12/22) at Bowery Ballroom. Tickets for those shows go on sale today (12/19) at noon.
Sufjan's tour just hit Chicago last week (12/15) at the Metro and pictures from that show are in this post. That show, like the others on the tour, featured a full set of mostly Christmas songs and than an encore of Sufjan favorites. In related news, in honor of the tour Fleetwood Mac will release a 35th anniversary reissue of their classic album, Rumours. The reissue is due out on January 29 via Rhino. The reissued vinyl album will include the Rumours-era b-side, "Silver Springs" There's also an expanded edition which includes a disc of live recordings from the Rumours tour and a disc of early takes and demos from the recording sessions. Plus, there will also be a deluxe edition with everything in the expanded edition, in addition to another disc of outtakes and a DVD documentary about the album called The Rosebud Film.

As mentioned, Quicksand are going on a full reunion tour in January which culminate in NYC on January 30 at Webster Hall. Tickets for that show went on sale today and sold right out, but the band have added a second show happening at the same venue a day later (1/31). After playing MSG on Tuesday (11/27), Neil Young & Crazy Horse continued their tour with Patti Smith at the Wells Fargo Center in Philly last night (11/29). The setlist was the same as MSG (and basically the rest of the tour), except for the encore which Neil sometimes changes up, treating Philly to the massive "Like A Hurricane." The full setlist is below.
Patti Smith isn't on that one but you can still catch her with NY&CH in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center on Monday (12/3) (tickets).

Tickets to this one-night-only special event will go on sale on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 12 p.m. (ET).
