NYC venues close temporarily, postpone shows amid coronavirus

Carnegie Hall, Brooklyn Bowl, Town Hall, Public Records, The Shed, House of Yes, Knockdown Center, and Basement are among the venues temporarily shuttering to help stop the spread of coronavirus.

Ticketfly still down (ransom demand??); Music Venues & Bands feeling the pain

Online ticketing service Ticketfly is still down, more than 24 hours since announcing they were the “target of a cyber incident.” It’s staying down as they investigate and “don’t have a specific timeline to share right now. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused by this incident and are working around the clock to resolve the issue and get all Ticketfly systems back up and running.”

The new venue, still unnamed, will be in a “raw, industrial” warehouse space in the city’s Chinatown and could open by the end of 2018.
