Ahead of Bad Brains’ reissue campaign, Darryl Jenifer looked back on the first decade of Bad Brains’ career, from helping to pioneer hardcore in their early days to embracing metal in the ‘Quickness’ era, and he told all kinds of history from in-between.

In honor of the new reissue of Bad Brains’ self-titled debut (which you can now get in our store on exclusive, translucent yellow with red and black splatter), we’re looking back on what is one of the most timeless, classic, and influential punk rock LPs of all time.

We’ve teamed with Bad Brains on exclusive vinyl variants of every record in their extensive reissue campaign, and we just launched pre-orders for their first two LPs and their ‘I And I Survive’ EP on gorgeous, limited-edition splatter vinyl.

Eyehategod will release their first album in nearly seven years in March.

The ”Pay to Cum!” single, one of the first hardcore releases ever, is now available on remastered, limited edition vinyl. ”You put on the Ramones during this time and you think, ‘Man, that’s fast,’” said Darryl Jenifer. ”My competitive nature says, ‘You think that’s fast?’”
