CMJ held their last NYC “music marathon” in October of 2015 but have now been bought by British company Amazing Radio who plan on relaunching the festival this fall.

CMJ held its last music marathon in NYC in October of 2015, and they say they are coming back in 2020.

Adam Klein, the owner of the now defunct CMJ trade journal and CMJ music festival, has been ordered to pay more than half a million dollars to the ex-employees who collectively sued him in 2016 for unpaid wages, by U.S. District Court Judge Katherine Forrest.

Mondo NYC, the “festival and global business summit of music and tech industry insiders and innovators, emerging artists and their fan” that was started by CMJ founders will be back for a second year in October…

The drama surrounding CMJ continues, as Pitchfork reports that two former employees of the company, David DeKeyser and Jessica Levy, filed a lawsuit today in Manhattan, alleging that they are owed unpaid wages and overtime.

The long-running Canadian band’s tour, where they’ll play ‘One Chord to Another’ in full, starts this week.
