The 2017 edition of the annual Tibet House Benefit at Carnegie Hall happened Thursday night (3/16) with its usual impressive lineup of musical talent and some very interesting pairings. It also doubled as a birthday party for Philip Glass.

Laurie’s upcoming tour schedule includes her first-ever collaborative performance with jazz bassist Christian McBride for Town Hall’s new ‘Improvisations’ series.

Sufjan Stevens was added to the 2017 Tibet House US benefit, happening March 16 at NYC’s Carnegie Hall, which already had a pretty stacked lineup with Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, Laurie Anderson, and New Order members…

The concert will also be a celebration of Philip Glass’ 80th birthday. Tickets are on sale now.
