The 1987 Master-Dik EP includes a cover of Ramones’ “Beat on the Brat” and more; Live at ATP 2000 featured most of NYC Ghosts & Flowers which had yet to be released.

The video is made from video submitted by friends and fans from all over the world during lockdown. “Isolation” is from Lee’s 1998 album Amarillo Ramp (for Robert Smithson) which just hit Lee’s Bandcamp.

A new musicians’ union, the Union of Musicians and Allied Workers, has formed, and its first objective is to seek aid for musicians affected by the coronavirus pandemic.

”Blastic Scene was recorded live at Sonic Youth’s first ever concert in Portugal, at a bull-ring in Lisbon, in July 1993” says drummer Steve Shelley. ”SY had not yet recorded the songs that would make up EJST&NS but previewed several new songs nightly of the July European tour.”

Sonic Youth have been uploading live and other rare recordings to Bandcamp recently, and Thurston Moore has been putting previously unreleased material on his Bandcamp, and now Lee Ranaldo has joined Bandcamp too…
