Saturday’s NYC-area shows include Modest Mouse, Peaches, Sacred Bones’ 15th Anniversary Celebration, J. Mascis, Iron Chic, and more.

Jen from Shellshag is turning 52 and put together a special show on the Brooklyn/Queens border to celebrate.

The band shares members with Warehouse, Hangman, Detriment, and Ennui, and cites hometown influences like Silent Majority and On the Might of Princes.

The Denver shows now also have Samiam on the bill.

Screaming Females made their return to the stage earlier this month with a run of East Coast shows, including two nights at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus Bar.

Screaming Females’ NYC show at Saint Vitus sold out, so they added a second at the same venue.

Over 600 artists have signed onto the campaign so far, which was launched by the Union of Musicians and Allied Workers.

Chris Gethard is turning his hit Earwolf podcast Beautiful/Anonymous into a festival called Beautiful/CONonymous that happens May 14-17 in Brooklyn, featuring live podcast tapings, stand-up shows, live music, dance parties, and waffles.

Shellshag say they’re only playing three shows this year, and then will be busy working on two new albums…
