With ska gaining mainstream traction in the U.S. once again, we put together a list of 64 essential ska albums from 1964 to present, with albums released during each of the past seven decades by artists from all over the world.

The run begins in the band’s home state of NJ in November.

Circle Jerks, DEVO and more are also also on the lineup of the festival, which happens in September in Downtown Las Vegas.

The 9-hour, 181-song playlist includes songs from all across ska’s long, rich history — from its origins in Jamaica to some of today’s best DIY ska bands — and it also includes ska-adjacent songs by The Beatles, Vampire Weekend, Weezer, Pixies, and more…

After being postponed multiple times in 2020, Punk Rock Bowling plans to return in 2021, in the fall instead of the spring.

The Unseen, Guttermouth, The Bombpops, Ceremony, Dr Know, Andrew WK, Har Mar Superstar and more are also playing Punk Rock Bowling afterparties.

This edition of ‘In Defense of the Genre’ takes a look at some of the most essential classic albums in ska-punk, a genre which — yes, really — is having a comeback.

The festival includes sets from the reformed Circle Jerks, Cock Sparrer, Luna Chicks, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Madness, Buzzcocks, Bouncing Souls, and many more.

Las Vegas festival Punk Rock Bowling happens May 21-25 and the 2020 lineup also includes Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Streetlight Manifesto, Propagandhi, Adicts, Avail, Stiff Little Fingers, The Ruts DC, Ho99o9, and more.
