Afro-Punk Festival

Afropunk Festival kicked off its 2017 edition at Brooklyn’s Commodore Barry Park on Saturday (8/26) with beautiful weather and a stacked lineup, including Solange, Soul II Soul, Macy Gray, Sampha, Sinkane, KING, Serpentwithfeet, and Little Simz.

Absolutely perfect weather, an incredible lineup — not to mention the amazing fashion going on in the crowd — made for a great start to Afropunk Fest 2017…

Day 2 of the 2016 Afropunk (Sunday, 8/28) featured three legendary boundary-pushing bands: Bad Brains, Fishbone and Living Colour. Some attendees may not have known that they’d be getting all three at once.

Also: Trash Talk, Cee-Lo and Tyler the Creator.
