Free Week 2016 lineup announced

Austin’s annual Free Week will actually be 10 days this year, with free shows happening every night at Mohawk, The Sidewinder, and The New Movement from January 1 – 10. This year’s lineup, featuring mostly Austin bands, has been announced and includes Ringo Deathstarr, Sweet Spirit, Matthew Logan Vasquez (Delta Spirit), Surfer Blood, Spray Paint, Residual Kid, Indian Jewelry, Leftover Crack, American Sharks, Golden Dawn Arkestra, and lots lots more. Nashville’s Bully are self-releasing a self-titled EP next week (10/21), and ahead of that they’ve put out its lead track, “Milkman.” Considering their hometown of Nashville and their love of distorted guitars, there’s a little garage rock in there, but “Milkman” has big pop hooks that wouldn’t have been out of place on ’90s rock radio…
