’Yo! MTV Raps’ is being reinvented for ” for a new generation” and the 30th anniversary show at Barclays on June 1 includes Big Daddy Kane, Eric B & Rakim, Doug E. Fresh, KRS-One and Boogie Down Productions, EPMD, Brand Nubian, Young Black Teenagers, and many more.

Exciting rap shows happen in and around NYC all the time, but we don’t get a chance to dedicate posts to all of them. In an effort to remedy that, here’s a roundup of some recently-announced shows in the area.
