Brooklyn Bazaar said farewell to it's Greenpoint Ave location on Saturday night with a goodbye punk blowout, including someone setting off a fire extinguisher during Hank Wood and the Hammerheads' headlining set...
Brooklyn Bazaar will close its Greenpoint Ave location at the end of the month, and if you're looking for a souvenir, or looking to buy some used kitchen equipment or security cameras, the venue is trying to recoup some money with a liquidation sale...
The rumors have been confirmed: Brooklyn Bazaar is closing its 150 Greenpoint Ave location at the end of November. It had taken over the former Polonaise Terrace location in 2016. Co-owners Belvy Klein & Aaron Broudo released a statement, saying ”we have tried endlessly to negotiate a new lease extension and term but the landlord has been ridiculously unreasonable, with their final offer only being a month to month extension - which makes programming (from tours to weddings) and operation essentially impossible.”
”We would first like to apologize to our community and staff for what occurred,” Brooklyn Bazaar, who hosted Skankfest, writes, ”and we would also like to apologize to the Music Department because they have put a lot of effort into making Brooklyn Bazaar a safe space with diverse programming.”
"Visitors will be able to enjoy a damn good cup of coffee at the Double R Diner, explore the mysterious Twin Peaks Lodge, and interact with a variety of quirky -- dare we say suspicious -- characters from this quaint northwestern town, brought to life by the beauties of The Pink Room Burlesque."
