The theme helped me realize I was in a transitional phase of my life and to try to pull myself together and remove the aspects of life that I was in conflict with. During the last month of Brooklyn DIY venue Death by Audio’s existence, photographer Ebru Yildiz practically lived at the space, shooting both the live shows and taking candid pics of life behind the scenes of those who lived and worked at DbA. Those photos are the basis of Ebru’s new book We’ve Come So Far – The Last Days of Death By Audio…

Dates include shows at Market Hotel and WFMU Monty Hall.

The album features live performances by Thee Oh Sees, Future Islands, Ty Segall, Lightning Bolt, Dan Deacon, Parquet Courts, Protomartyr, JEFF the Brotherhood, A Place to Bury Strangers, Deerhoof, Protomartyr, METZ, all recorded during the last month of the Brooklyn DIY space.
