Lynne and his current lineup of ELO brought the Orchestra (and many electric lights) to full technicolor life at Madison Square Garden.

Dawes also announced a headlining tour.

Dawes have been tapped to open most of the dates on the Jeff Lynne’s ELO North American tour, including both shows at NYC’s Madison Square Garden…

“The Howard Stern Tribute to David Bowie” premieres February 9 on SiriusXM’s Howard 101 channel and also features covers by Todd Rundgren, Gogol Bordello, Sun Kil Moon (ft Petra Haden), Lisa Loeb, Dawes, and more.

Outside Lands continued Saturday with a headlining set from Metallica, as well as sets from The Avett Brothers, Foxygen, Cage the Elephant, The Lemon Twigs, Temples, Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, Josh Wink, Kaytranada, S U R V I V E, Thundercat, Real Estate, Dawes, and more.

Osheaga continued Saturday with sets from Broken Social Scene, Father John Misty, Liam Gallagher, Beach Slang, Temples, Dawes, and more.

Earlier this year, Conor Oberst released Salutations, which features full-band versions of the songs on last year’s Ruminations (and more), with The Felice Brothers as his backing band. Conor and the Felice Bros have been supporting the album on tour this year, and they’ll soon be in NYC for a big show…

The San Francisco fest includes The Who, Metallica, Gorillaz, Queens of the Stone Age, A Tribe Called Quest, Solange, Fleet Foxes, Dr. Octagon, and more.

Roger Waters’ new tour is a spectacle of sight and sound (and nearly 20 Pink Floyd songs), with a band includes Jess & Holly of Lucius, Jonathan Wilson, and Beck drummer Joey Waronker. The tour hits the East Coast this fall.

The stacked lineup also includes Alt-J, Belle & Sebastian, Solange, Future Islands, Schoolboy Q, Little Dragon, Kaytranada, Action Bronson, Thundercat, Warpaint, Dr. Octagon, and more.
