Dixie Chicks change their name to The Chicks
There has been no official statement but the group’s website and social media accounts have all been changed to The Chicks, with a quote reading “We want to rise up and meet this moment” below their name. They’ve also released new protest song “March March.”

The lineup for Jack & Rachel Antonoff’s sixth annual Ally Coalition Talent Show, which benefits LGBT youth shelters, has been announced.

Wilco, R.E.M., Nine Inch Nails, Patti Smith, Steely Dan, The Who, Death Cab For Cutie, A$AP Rocky, Rush, The Dixie Chicks, Sigur Ros, Janelle Monae, Mitski, Andrew Bird and other bands and artists have contributed autographed setlists which are being auctioned off to raise money for youth writing and activism centers.

For the boygenius portion of their set, Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus mixed the setlist up a little bit at their Seattle, WA show, adding a cover of Dixie Chicks’ Calgon commercial-referencing 1999 song “Cowboy Take Me Away.”
