Sonic Youth, Einstürzende Neubauten, The Minutemen, Meat Puppets and more feature in this documentary about a creative collective who put on wild, very DIY shows in the California desert in the mid-’80s.

Finding it difficult to put on punk shows in mid-’80s LA without getting hassled by the man, a group of young people took to the desert where they could be free to do what they wanted to do. Watch an exclusive clip featuring Meat Puppets’ Kirk Kirkwood.

Industrial icons Einstürzende Neubauten are gearing up to release their proper studio album in 12 years. Details of that are still TBA but the group will support the record, and perform it live, on the 2020 The Year of The Rat Tour that hits North America this fall…
