Ex Hex

Ex Hex/Flesh Wounds offshoot Bat Fangs are releasing their self-titled debut album this week, and we’re premiering a new song ahead of its release, along with a playlist that they curated with tourmates Superchunk.

Bat Fangs is the newish duo of singer/guitarist Betsy Wright (Ex Hex, Chain and the Gang) and drummer Laura King (Flesh Wounds, Speed Stick). If you like any of their other groups, chances are you’ll dig the glammy, riffy hard rock sound they make together.

This week’s edition of BrooklynVegan Blog Radio on SiriusXMU features brand new music from The War on Drugs, The National, Ariel Pink, Nine Inch Nails, Waxahatchee, Big Thief, This is the Kit, and more.

The tour also includes shows with Palehound and Outer Spaces, a Merge showcase in Raleigh with Superchunk and Ex Hex, and more.

Peaches’ band included members of Bikini Kill, Lunachicks, Ex Hex and more.

They’re playing the Saturday of Panorama in NYC, sharing the bill with Tame Impala, Alt-J, Pinegrove and more. The band will release a new album later this year.

BrooklynVegan Blog Radio airs Wednesdays at noon and midnight on SiriusXMU (Ch. 35).
