L Train shutdown plan revealed by MTA

The long-awaited plan to mitigate the upcoming transit nightmare of being without the L for fifteen months, beginning April 2019, includes increased subway service, busing, cycling enhancements, and a new ferry line.

The MTA board approved the contract for repairs on the L train’s Canarsie Tunnel today, confirming the shutdown will last for 15 months.
