Jawbreaker continue to slowly expand their reunion tour, which began in full at Riot Fest 2017 and has included shows in select cities since then. In addition to their upcoming appearance at Seattle’s Upstream Fest and their Coney Island/Asbury Park shows, they’ll play Austin in July…

The Boys Are Back in Town!

In the current, ongoing series of ‘Archie Comics,’ The Archies cross paths with real-life indie and punk bands like Tegan & Sara, Speedy Ortiz, CHVRCHES, and Blondie. Each issue has an awesome accompanying playlist, and the issues are littered with hat-tips to bands the creators love, like Title Fight, Hop Along, Joyce Manor, Against Me!, Jeff Rosenstock, Converge, Blur, Black Flag, Waxahatchee, Superchunk, and so much more…

”Our summer is just gonna be trying to write, jam,” Blake said, before adding, ”What we really wanna do is just riff out and see what comes. I’m spending the next month writing at home, and then we’re gonna converge in San Francisco and go in a studio and see what happens.”

The Seattle festival takes place from June 1-3 in the city’s Pioneer Square.

Our first week at Mondays 10 PM featured Bowie covers from Nirvana, Warpaint, TV on the Radio, The Cure, and Bauhaus, plus new songs from Iceage, US Girls, Chvrches, Hinds, and more.

Comedians Emily Flake, Clare O’Kane, and Kate Willett opened Jawbreaker’s NYC shows.
