Joan of Arc

It’s the band’s second album with the lineup of Tim Kinsella, Theo Katsaounis, Melina Ausikaitis, Bobby Burg, and Jeremy Boyle, and Melina takes lead vocals for this one.

Tim Kinsella is joining Jawbreaker’s Blake Schwarzenbach for a Q&A at the release party for the new 33 1/3 on ’24 Hour Revenge Therapy,’ and he added a solo show happening here the next night.

Mike and Tim’s band Cap’n Jazz is playing reunion shows again for the first time since 2010. Mike’s band American Football are also continuing their own reunion. We caught up with both prolific musicians ahead of Riot Fest, Brooklyn Steel shows for both bands, and more…

Tonight (6/16), the two bands have a Berlin show with American Football.

In the indie/emo world, Cap’n Jazz are more influential than ever. The band — whose members went on to form American Football, Owen, Owls, Joan of Arc, The Promise Ring, Maritime and more — reunited back in 2010 for a few shows, and now they’re back once again.
