“Bonny Light Horseman is made up of 100% Elliott Smith mega-fans, so when our friend Rob from Kill Rock Stars asked us to do this it seemed pretty obvious,” the band says.

”There was something so evocative about the arrangement, the transcendental and romantic lyrical imagery, and Buckley’s deeply soulful voice,” says Eric D Johnson. ”I knew one of these days I’d cover it.”

It’s not really the drastic pivot to indie that it looks like on the surface, but it does find Taylor continuing to progress her sound and take artistic risks eight albums and 14 years into her career.
