The first-ever US edition of Prophecy Productions’ Prophecy Fest is in Brooklyn this weekend with Alcest, Novembers Doom, Xasthur, So Hideous, Kayo Dot, Volur, Eye of Nix, 14876, and Crowhurst.

Lyrically, Chuck Stern says the album is about ”exile and abandonment… It is a story about certain people in my life moving on without me: the death of my father, a terrible breakup with a girlfriend, Obama’s departure.”

The two-day metal fest happens at Knitting Factory Brooklyn this fall.

Noisecore greats Today is the Day recently reissued 1997’s classic Temple Of The Morning Star for its 20th anniversary, and now they’ve announced a tour to celebrate the anniversary…

The annual Raleigh, NC music festival also includes Angel Olsen, Big Boi, Margo Price, Afghan Whigs, The Make-Up, Mary Timony Plays Helium, and more.

The newly-added dates are all with Gatecreeper, and select dates are also with Pinkish Black, Inter Arma, Spirit Adrift, and Venomous Maximus.

Pallbearer will release their highly anticipated third album, Heartless, this Friday (3/24) via Profound Lore. You’ll still have to wait a couple days to hear it, but in the meantime two massive-sounding singles are out…

Marissa Nadler and Kayo Dot will soon be on tour with Pallbearer, and announced a smaller NJ show while they’re in the area playing Brooklyn.

Pallbearer also added European dates with Pinkish Black.
