Joni played a 13-song song surprise set at Newport Folk Fest, with her own classics, covers, and multiple guests, marking one of the only live performances she’s given in the past decade.

Nathaniel Rateliff brought out Simon for four songs during his ”American Tune Review” tribute set, which also featured Lee Fields, Lucius, Marcus Mumford, Natalie Merchant, Courtney Marie Andrews, Lukas Nelson, and Rhiannon Giddens.

Lucius were part of Roger Waters’ 2017/2018 Us+Them tour, and had also performed with him at the 2015 Newport Folk Festival.
