In the wake of the tragic shooting at Las Vegas music festival Route 91 Harvest Fest last year, where the shooter committed the horrific act from his hotel room window, Miami Police have expanded their security plan for this weekend’s Ultra Music Festival.

When asked about whether My Bloody Valentine would really be releasing an album in 2018, Kevin Shields told Pitchfork, “We’re trying to do gigs starting in the summer. We’re going to play live again, so that’s always a really good way to guarantee that we’ll get the record done.” Whether or not we get that new album — Kevin says they “100% will” — they’re definitely playing shows. Or at least one show.
