The Austin festival, formerly Austin Terror Festival, will return for its second annual edition in June of 2023.

The lineup includes full-album sets by Suicidal Tendencies, Eyehategod, and Incantation, plus appearances by The Black Dahlia Murder, Mizmor, All Out War, Undeath, and more.

Saturday at Psycho Las Vegas also featured Tribulation, Warthog, Warpaint, Blackwater Holylight, No/Más, The Black Angels, Liturgy, Frozen Soul, Elder, Crobot, Gatecreeper, Mizmor, Show Me The Body, and many more.

The Austin festival (fka Austin Terror) is just over a week away from holding its first edition, and they’ve issued a new update including news about The Locust following the death of drummer Gabe Serbian, along with even more info.

New additions to this year’s lineup include Blood Incantation, Warthog, The Dwarves, Nitzer Ebb, and Gaslamp Killer.

Featuring lengthy black metal passages amidst equally as sprawling doom, the mammoth Myopia is a not so much a balancing act as it is a complete meshing of these two bands’ distinct styles.

Boris offers up a noisy cover of SQÜRL’s cover of Wanda Jackson’s ”Funnel of Love,” while Thou, Mizmor, and Emma Ruth Rundle turn Zola Jesus’ ”Night” into a black metal song.
