Sylvan Esso’s new EP showcases collaborations from a myriad of musicians, including Wye Oak, The Mountain Goats, Hiss Golden Messenger, as well as members of Amelia and Nick’s other bands, Mountain Man and Megafaun.

Hiss Golden Messenger will release new album Hallelujah Anyhow on September 22 via Merge. His fall tour includes two nights at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom.

Big Thief just played Brooklyn last week, the opening slot on the big Conor Oberst show in Prospect Park that also had Hop Along on the bill, and then hit FYF in Los Angeles over the weekend. They’ve just announced two more Brooklyn shows with Lucy Dacus, Molly Sarle, Palehound, and Really Big Pinecone…

One of the collaborative highlights of the third edition of Eaux Claires was ‘Bon Iver Presents: John Prine and the American Songbook,’ which featured artists like Justin Vernon, Jenny Lewis, Jeff Tweedy, Mountain Man, Spank Rock, and Anais Mitchell covering Prine’s songs.

The third edition of Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner’s Eaux Claires festival was heavy on collaborations between performers, including Vernon and Dessner themselves. Paul Simon was joined by a classical ensemble, and many artists covered John Prine. Chance the Rapper, Danny Brown, Feist, Perfume Genius, Sylvan Esso, and Francis and the Lights were among others who played the festival.
