Porno For Pyros (Mike Watt included) did an acoustic backyard set for their first public performance in 24 years, and Perry was also interviewed by Matt Pinfield beforehand.

The four-day virtual fests includes archival footage of Paul McCartney, LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire, Metallica, The Cure, Run the Jewels, Alabama Shakes, Tyler the Creator, and Pearl Jam, among others, as well as a Porno for Pyros reunion and more.

Mike Watt recently said he filmed four songs with the reunited Porno For Pyros, and now the band’s first public ”appearance” in over two decades has been confirmed.

Perry Farrell also just announced a career-spanning box set.

Sonic Youth, Einstürzende Neubauten, The Minutemen, Meat Puppets and more feature in this documentary about a creative collective who put on wild, very DIY shows in the California desert in the mid-’80s.

Finding it difficult to put on punk shows in mid-’80s LA without getting hassled by the man, a group of young people took to the desert where they could be free to do what they wanted to do. Watch an exclusive clip featuring Meat Puppets’ Kirk Kirkwood.

The album also features covers by Joan Jett, Devendra Banhart, Lucinda Williams, Father John Misty, Peaches, Beth Orton, King Khan, U2 (ft. Elton John), David Johansen, and more.

The Coachella documentary is out now, and the fest has since been releasing pro-shot videos of performances from their vault…
