Megafaun’s Phil Cook and Swedish atmospheric folk singer Daniel Norgren are both touring North America, including some dates and festivals together and others separately.

The lineup also includes Sam Amidon, Bedouine, Circuit des Yeux, Cut Worms, Ezra Furman, Hailu Mergia, Haley Heynderickx, Jamila Woods, Jen Cloher, The Weather Station, and more.

The album features Angel Olsen, William Tyler, Mary Lattimore, Tift Merritt, Phil Cook, and more, plus “special guidance” from Kathleen Hanna.

It goes down in January 2018 and also includes Francis and the Lights, Hiss Golden Messenger, Melt-Banana, Spank Rock, Phil Cook, and more.

Newport Folk Festival often hosts special one-off collaborations between artists, and this year was no different; members of Hiss Golden Messenger joined Justin Vernon, Natalie Prass, Phil Cook, Patterson Hood of Drive-By Truckers, and Alynda Segarra of Hurray for the Riff Raff to cover Bill Withers as Grandma’s Hands Band.

The daily lineups have been announced for the Justin Vernon/Aaron Dessner-curated Eaux Claires Music & Arts Festival, which goes down June 16 & 17…

The fest includes ‘Artists-In-Residence’ which will have “an assembled cast of notable musicians [creating] an integral creative core, ready to jump in and contribute their talents to announced and unannounced performances across the entire weekend.”
