Ahead of their Newport Folk Festival set on Sunday, Phosphorescent stopped in Brooklyn for a show in 99 Scott’s backyard, part of their summer ”Open Air” series.

Tonight’s NYC-area shows include Kurt Vile/Dinosaur Jr/Cate Le Bon in Central Park, Broken Social Scene/Nilufer Yanya in Prospect Park, Phosphorescent, Imperial Teen, The Get Up Kids, and more.

Phosphorescent, Jade Bird, Black Belt Eagle Scout, Dawes, Kevin Morby, The Nude Party, and more will have their sets streamed live from Newport Folk Festival 2019.

This year’s lineup includes Jeff Tweedy, Trey Anastasio, Phil Lesh and The Terrapin Family Band, Sheryl Crow, Kacey Musgraves, Phosphorescent, Portugal. The Man, Dawes, Lucy Dacus, Kevin Morby, Nilüfer Yanya and more.

Plus: Sheila E, Clan of Xymox rescheduled dates, “Press Play” book and music fair, The Who/Liam Gallagher, David Nance Band, Raphael Saadiq, and more.

The festival returns to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park in August.
