The “National Concerts Week” promotion is happening now with hundreds of $20, all-in tickets to Live Nation shows across the country.

The presale begins today (1/31) at 10 AM.

After taking home the Grammy for Best Metal Performance last night, Mastodon have announced a tour with alt-metal freaks Primus.

Primus opened with a career-spanning set of songs and then played their new album The Desaturating Seven in full.

The Meters’ George Porter Jr is playing three sets (one with a former Primus drummer), Darkside’s Dave Harrington is playing one with Cibo Matto’s Yuka Honda, Phil Lesh’s son Grahame is doing a CSNY tribute, and more.

‘The Desaturating Seven’ is the first album with the classic lineup of Les Claypool, Larry LaLonde, and Tim Alexander since 1995’s Tales from the Punchbowl. Listen to lead single “The Seven” now.

The weekend of musical collaboration also includes John Scofield, Eric Krasno, Dave Harrington, Yuka Honda, George Porter Jr, and members of Umphrey’s McGee, The Disco Biscuits, Lotus, Trey Anastasio Band, RatDog, Jack White’s band, Prince’s band, and still more.

Tool wrapped up their 2017 tour with a gigantic show with Melvins, Primus, Clutch, The Crystal Method, and Faith No More/Melvins offshoot Fantomas. It was Fantomas’ first show in 9 years, and they had Dale Crover filling in for usual drummer Dave Lombardo…
