Seattle indie rock label Sub Pop is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year by throwing a festival called SPF30 which happens August 10-11 that includes a big all-day free show on 8/11 along Alki Beach in West Seattle, featuring Mudhoney, Beach House, Wolf Parade, Shabazz Palaces, Fastbacks, Loma, LVL UP, METZ, Moaning, and more. Father John Misty, Oh Sees & more playing Kurt Vonnegut festival in Indiana

Indiana University has announced it will be hosting Granfalloon, a new festival celebrating the life and work of author Kurt Vonnegut, which runs from May 10-12 in Bloomington, Indiana. The fest takes its name from a word Vonnegut coined in ’Cat’s Cradle’ and Damien Jurado, Shabazz Palaces, Baths, Waxahatchee, and more are on the bill.
