Sloan’s new album ’12’ made made the 2018 Polaris long list.

The long list for the 2018 Polaris Music Prize– Canada’s annual award for a great album — has been announced.

Sloan’s twelfth album, simply titled 12, will be out April 6.

Says bassist Chris Murphy, dryly, “I guess with the album title, we are showing off the fact the we have 12 records.” That’s 12 albums featuring the same four-man, four-singer-songwriters lineup (no mean feat).
