Sly & Robbie

As one half of iconic rhythm section Sly & Robbie, Shakespeare worked with everyone from Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer and Black Uhuru to Grace Jones, Bob Dylan and Serge Gainsbourg.

Recorded during the sessions for ’Infidels,’ these two versions of ”Blind Willie McTell” feature the band of Mark Knopfler, Mick Taylor, and Sly & Robbie.

The Growlers Six, which happens the weekend before Halloween (October 28 & 29) at the LA Waterfront. As the name implies this is the sixth festival they’re throwing and the lineup includes Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, Butthole Surfers, Dan Auerback, Danny Brown, Beth Ditto, Bad Brains, Geto Boys, Guided by Voices, Hepcat, Fear, Mike Watt & The Secondmen, Nice as Fuck, Rostam, Jonathan Richman, Fear, and tons more.
