Manchester UK collective Whyte Horses, a band of sorts that mix various strains of ’60s psych and French pop, exotica, krautrock, glam and more into one groovy sound. You can listen to two songs off ‘Hard Times’ now.

Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys wrapped up the UK leg of his solo tour at London’s gorgeous EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney) on Wednesday….

This week: reviews of new albums from Belle & Sebastian, Metronomy, Pernice Brothers and Gruff Rhys, plus crucial reissues from Stereolab and Super Furry Animals.

For ’Pang!,’ Gruff worked with South African producer Muzi who reworked and remixed the songs into ”deeply personal digital pop music.”

The Super Furry Animals frontman is currently on tour in support of his new solo album ‘Babelsberg’. He discusses the music the band is listening to, like ELO, Melvins, Rush, Minutemen, Faust, and others, as well as Tim Horton’s coffee, fall foliage, and more.

Gruff’s North American tour starts in October.
