The Anniversary’s Josh Berwanger has been having a busy year. He already released the debut album by his band Radar State (a supergroup with both singers of The Get Up Kids) and a split with Casey James Prestwood (of Hot Rod Circuit), and now he’s gearing up for a new Berwanger album…

Radar State, the supergroup with Get Up Kids co-frontmen Matt Pryor and Jim Suptic and The Anniversary frontman Josh Berwanger, are set to release their first full-length and go on their first headlining tour…

Matt Pryor, Jim Suptic, Josh Berwanger, and Adam Phillips (The Architects, The Gadjits) are Radar State, and their debut single “Spinning Wheel” is very promising.

Indie/emo vets The Anniversary reunited last year, and it was a very welcome return. I caught their Bowery Ballroom show, which was one of the better rock shows I saw all year…

They played like rock stars. The stage had a huge, vivid Anniversary banner hanging in the back, and it was lit up by carnival-esque light poles. Josh Berwanger ran around the stage with a huge presence, and really had the crowd in the palm of his hand from the first song…

The Anniversary members have been passing around demos for new music, which co-frontman Josh Berwanger says “sound like a mix between both of the albums with a little ELO/ABBA influence.”
