Desert Daze 2021 happens November 12-14 in Lake Perris, CA and the lineup also features Devendra Banhart, Andy Shauf, Tim Heidecker & Weyes Blood, Crumb, Yves Tumor, Ty Segall, The Black Angels, DIIV, Moon Duo, and more.

Levitation fest happens Halloween Weekend in Downtown Austin and the 2021 lineup also includes Tinariwen, Chicano Batman, Red Fang, Nothing, Ty Segall’s Fuzz, Black Midi, Connan Mockasin, Andy Shauf, Kikagaku Moyo, Yves Tumor, Shannon & The Clams, Shabazz Palaces, and more.

The Black Angels’ Alex Maas released Luca, his first solo album, this month.

Alex says he used “a whole different part of my brain” for the album. “I wanted to go someplace musically that I’ve never gone before.”

The ”Protection by Audio” shop features autographed gear, hand-drawn one-offs, and ”pieces of musical history” from members of IDLES, Wilco, the Flaming Lips, QOTSA, Spoon, Black Angels, Spacemen 3, Oh Sees, APTBS, Xiu Xiu, METZ, Melvins, and more.

The fest includes full-album sets from The Flaming Lips, Wu-Tang, and Ween, plus sets from DEVO, Flying Lotus, The Locust, Atlas Sound, and much more…

The ”Original” Glenn Danzig-led Misfits reunion brought out the most people the fest had had in one place for the 90 minute set, AND IT WAS GREAT.

Wu-Tang will play ’36 Chambers’ in full, Ween will play ’Chocolate & Cheese’ in full, plus Alvvays, Devo, Pussy Riot, Jessica Pratt, and more.
