Thin Lips

The album was produced by Justin’s MCS bandmate Joshua Cain and it features David Jarnstrom (Gratitude, BNLX), and Justin is touring with Thin Lips and Pronoun.

This week’s Notable Releases include Denzel Curry’s best LP yet, Thou’s ”grunge” EP, Lifetime/Dag Nasty/Bouncing Souls offshoot Beach Rats’ debut EP, and more.

The song is off Thin Lips’ upcoming sophomore album Chosen Family, and it features backing vocals by Frances Quinlan (Hop Along), Brendan Lukens (Modern Baseball), and Zoe Reynolds (Kississippi).

Modern Baseball offshoot Slaughter Beach, Dog hits the road with two great bands: first Thin Lips, then Cayetana/Three Man Cannon offshoot Gladie.

Thin Lips are also touring with Hop Along later this year, and singer Chrissy Tashjian has been touring as a member of Hop Along all year.

Hop Along (and their current, expanded live lineup) played every song off the excellent new Bark Your Head Off, Dog at a big, sold-out hometown show at Philly’s Union Transfer.

Plus: Garbage, Janelle Monae, Anna Calvi, The Hold Steady, Guided by Voices, Ty Segall, The Fixx, FACS, and more newly-announced tours.

The new album features backing vocals from Thin Lips singer Chrissy Tashjian, and string arrangements.

They also released the album’s second single, “The Possibility.”
