Ultimate Painting will return with their third album, Dusk, on September 30 via Trouble in Mind. Where the band’s excellent first two albums saw Jack Cooper and James Haore working in distinct but complimentary songwriting styles, there’s a lot more symbiosis on Dusk. (Like dusk, as the daylight fades, silhouettes looks similar.)

Woods’ tour with Ultimate Painting wrapped up on Saturday, May 7 at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Both bands share a similar musical outlook, making for a great night of mostly mellow vibes and intertwined guitars. Woods has an expanded lineup for this tour…
