There were recent reports that tailgating at Holmdel, NJ amphitheater PNC Bank Arts Center would potentially be doomed, but as NJ News 12 now assures us, those pre-show parking lot parties will still be allowed:

Town officials have clarified an ordinance that imposes new rules for the PNC Bank Arts Center parking lot.

The Holmdel Township Committee says it voted to impose fines and restrictions aimed at cracking down on non-concert events in the venue’s parking lot.

The ordinance does not affect tailgating in the parking lot before concerts at the venue, since arts center operator Live Nation decides on a case-by-case basis whether tailgating is allowed.

Officials say the township has received noise complaints from residents about loud events that start on Saturday mornings.

Among those events is a racing circuit that offers customers the chance to drive high-end sports cars around a specially designed track. Gotham Dream Cars rents the parking lots from Live Nation.

Good to know that you can still get a good buzz going before Soundgarden / Nine Inch Nails, Wiz Khalifa, Kings of Leon, Kiss / Def Leppard, Lionel Richie / Cee-Lo, and Motley Crue / Alice Cooper this summer.
