TBA Brooklyn shut down, temporarily for now (unlike the DBAs)

The same week Williamsburg lost not one DBA, but TWO DBAs, dance club TBA Brooklyn was shut down against its will. The venue, located at 375 Wythe, posted the following message before Thanksgiving:

We at TBA Brooklyn are extraordinarily thankful for all of our friends and family in New York and beyond. We have run into some regulatory issues and are working hard to resolve them. Unfortunately, this means that we will not be open tonight or this weekend. Please check the individual event pages for updates as to locations for upcoming events. Enjoy the turkey and have a happy Thanksgiving!!

Tonight/Friday’s ‘Night with Madteo’ has been moved to Cameo. Wednesday’s party went to Lot 45. The night before that went to Kinfolk. This Saturday’s party with DJs Joeski, Love & Logic, Mus, and Vinnie, as of this post, still lists TBA as the location (as in the club called TBA, not a to be announced new location due to TBA being closed. Whats on second.)

Someone told us it was the cops who shut them down, possibly the vice squad, but we can’t confirm any of that.

Meanwhile, TBD still seems operational!

UPDATE: As of December 8th, TBA remains closed. They posted this message on 12/5:

While we have made significant progress towards opening, we have not received final sign-off and so will not be open for business this weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your support and patience. Please check individual event pages for alternate location information. We hope to have better news early next week.
