Nicolas Jaar‘s label Other People will be in residency at RIdgewood, Queens venue Trans-Pecos this December, and they have some very exciting stuff coming up.

It begins on December 8 with recent Other People signee Okokon, ambient great William Basinski, and a live improv set from Bladerunner and no waver Arto Lindsay. Not to be confused with John Zorn’s band of the same name, Bladerunner is a five-piece band including Nicolas Jaar, his Darkside bandmate Dave Harrington, live Darkside member Will Epstein, Tlacael Esparza (ARMS/Friend Roulette) and Samer Ghadry. Tickets are on sale.

Then on December 9 it’s a Nicolas Jaar DJ set in the basement (100 cap, tickets only available at doors), followed by influential hip hop DJ Afrika Bambaataa spinning a vinyl-only DJ set on December 10 with Against All Logic (DJ), Solpara (live), DJ Slugo (DJ), and Valentin Stip (DJ). Tickets are on sale.

Lastly, legendary no wave band Teenage Jesus & the Jerks will reunite once again to close the residency on December 11. Singer Lydia Lunch plays shows a good amount, but Teenage Jesus haven’t played since their 2009 reunion (which had Thurston Moore on bass). That show is with A Pleasure (live) and Hollow Earth b2b Ancient Astronaut. No word on what the band’s lineup will be for this yet. Tickets are on sale now. Other People reissued a live TJ&TJ LP earlier this year.
