Teith releasing ‘Humboldt Park’ (stream it)

by Fred Pessaro // BBG

Joshua Grubman, Lisa Shelley, Billy Baumann, and Trevor de Brauw were Teith, a new noise-damaged indie-pop crew that draws upon metal, post-rock, glitch, post-hardcore and more. Sadly, the band is no more, but they’ve left us with parting gifts in the way of new long-player Humboldt Park, available digitally and in a limited-to-100 vinyl pressing tomorrow (Jan 29) via Migration Media. Think of the hopeful post-rock of Red Sparowes or Pelican (de Bruaw is a member) with waves of electronic touches. It’s an interesting listen.
