Temple of the Dog brought their reunion tour to MSG (pics, videos, setlist)

UPDATE: RIP, Chris Cornell

This past weekend, Temple of the Dog kicked off their 25th anniversary reunion tour in Philly and last night (11/7) they hit NYC’s Madison Square Garden. The band — which features Chris Cornell and Matt Cameron of Soundgarden, and Jeff Ament, Mike McCready, Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam — was formed as a tribute to Andrew Wood, singer of Ament and Gossard’s pre-Pearl Jam band Mother Love Bone, who died in 1990. At the MSG show, Temple of the Dog played a good handful of Mother Love Bone songs, plus a couple Chris Cornell solo songs and “River of Deceit” by McCready’s band Mad Season. They also did some more classic covers like David Bowie’s “Quicksand,” Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs,” and Led Zeppelin’s “Achilles Last Stand.”
