Tenacious D hosting 'Post Apocalypto' screenings at Alamo Drafthouse
Tenacious D‘s new animated YouTube series, Post Apocalypto, is airing now with new episodes every week, leading up to the November 2 release of their new album which is also titled Post Apocalypto. You can watch the first two episodes, and check out videos for new songs “Making Love” and “Hope,” below.
If you’d rather watch the D’s new magnum opus on the big screen instead of your laptop, Alamo Drafthouse has screenings of the whole series at participating locations on November 2. That includes the Brooklyn location with two 11/2 screenings at 6:30 PM & 9 PM. Alamo confirmed to us that Jack Black and Kyle Gass will be in attendance at both post-screening Q&As in Brooklyn, and the Q&As will livestream to the other Alamo Drafthouse locations, as it says on the global event description:
To celebrate Jables and Kage dropping the final chapter of their new YouTube series AND the release of their new album, join us for a special screening of the complete POST-APOCALYPTO saga, plus a live stream Q&A with Tenacious D broadcast live from Alamo Drafthouse Brooklyn.
Tickets for the Brooklyn screenings with the live Q&As (and the screenings in other participating theaters with the broadcasted Q&As) are on sale (note that Brooklyn has its own ticket link since it is the actual Q&A and not a livestream).
That is just ahead of Tenacious D’s two mostly sold-out shows at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre on November 3 & 4 (a few single seat tickets remain) which are the kickoff to their fall tour. All tour dates are listed below.
